Our history
This first version of ASAPfolder created in 2004, was a collaboration of INSERM researchers (the FRENCH NATIONNAL INSTITUTE for MEDICAL RESEARCH) and computer scientists. Since then ASAPfolder has had great success both in FRANCE and the US and has been encouraged by users who have helpfully given us their advice about features to add to our software. The second and third versions of ASAPfolder were developed with that advice in mind, and we still have many others to create including version 4, due out in 2011.
Though ASAPfolder is a software program, it is also the name of the company that was founded in January 2009.
